A black and white line drawing depicting a group of squirrels in a natural setting. The central figure is a larger squirrel, appearing to be an adult, seated on a tree branch and holding a nut, with its mouth open as if eating. Its fur is detailed with simple line work, conveying a fluffy appearance. Surrounding it are four smaller squirrels, presumably juveniles. Three of them are gathered together, seemingly peering out from the entrance to a hollow within a tree trunk, while the fourth is next to the adult. The squirrels all have big, expressive eyes. In the foreground sits a small basket with a few nuts visible, and the tree branch on which the squirrels sit is embellished with leaves. The perspective is a slightly angled medium shot, and the style is reminiscent of a children's illustration.
