An elegant 40-year-old Trojan queen Hecuba, with a regal and proud expression. Her skin is mature with natural fine lines and visible pores, no makeup except her dark eyes sharply lined with black kohl. She wears a luxurious, authentic double Luwian tunic (kursis): the upper tunic is made of heavy dark purple wool with wide sleeves ending at the elbows, decorated with neat golden thread embroidery of ancient geometric stars along the collar and front trim; underneath is a finely pleated cream-white wool lower tunic with tight, long sleeves covering her wrists. On her head she wears a tall, conical ceremonial tiara-cap made of solid dark purple wool, held at the base by a heavy, rigid chiseled gold headband (ampyx). Attached to the ampyx are solid gold flat disks sewn along the border of her dark textile veil that completely hides her hair at the back. At her temples, two heavy, hollow gold spiral tubes (hair-rings) are attached to the ampyx. Around her neck is a heavy, massive necklace made of large polished dark red agates and textured gold beads. She stands inside a structured Troy palace room with light limestone textures.
